Admission and Withdrawal
The school academic year is from April to March. Only for the Jingle Bells section, admission may be granted during other months (depending upon the availability of seats). There is no admission test for nursery classes, but for others an interview / written I.Q. test is required.
During the admission time, the following documents must be submitted, failing which admission will not be granted:
- Date of birth certificate
- Original transfer certificate from the previous school
- Two passport-sized photographs
For withdrawal from the school, the following rules apply:
- One failure during the orientation period is condoned; if the student fails after that period he/she is ordered to withdraw.
- If the conduct/influence of any student is detrimental to general discipline, the principal may order withdrawal.
- If fees and other dues are not deposited after a reminder, the student’s name will be struck off the rolls.
- If a student is found medically unfit and is a health hazard to others, he/she may be asked to withdraw.
- All students are admitted with the understanding that they will remain in the school for the entire course. Parents/guardians may not withdraw children except on revision of fees, transfer, etc. In such cases one month’s notice must be given in writing; failure entails forfeiture of the security money.
- The school leaving certificate is issued only after clearance of dues. In addition, Rs 50/- is charged for the transfer certificate.
- Security deposit may be refunded on request after 3 months of withdrawal but before the end of the current session; otherwise it is forfeited.
Note: Annual Funds and Fees once deposited are not refundable under any circumstances.
School Uniform
Nursery to Fifth
- Girls: Red check tunic, white shirt with school name embroidered, tie & belt, white socks (prescribed by school), black shoes (Action).
- Boys: Red check shorts, white shirt with school name embroidered, tie & belt, white socks (prescribed), black shoes (Action).
VI to XII
- Girls: Red check skirt, white shirt with school name embroidered, tie & belt, white socks, black shoes.
- Boys: Black shorts for VI–VIII (compulsory), black trousers from IX onward, white shirt with school name embroidered, tie & belt, white socks, black shoes.
Winter Uniform: Half sweater & blazer for Class VI onward (colour prescribed), black pants & white full-sleeve shirts. Nursery to V: half sweater & jackets (colour prescribed).
Saturday & Wednesday Uniform: Summer — House T-shirts with white pants, white canvas shoes (compulsory). Winter — House T-shirts with track suit, white canvas shoes (compulsory).
Blazers & jackets are compulsory. All trousers should be of Matty cloth with two pleats. Tight & low-waist pants/jeans are strictly not allowed.
Curriculum, Medium of Instruction & PTM
Subjects taught include English, Hindi, Mathematics, General Science & Hygiene, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History & Civics, Geography, Economics, Disaster Management, Environmental Studies, and Commerce. At Class XI and XII we offer three streams — Humanities, Science, and Commerce. The school has introduced two new subjects — Multimedia & Web Technology and Fashion Designing (prescribed by CBSE).
The medium of instruction is English up to Class X, with provision for both English & Hindi medium for Arts and Commerce in senior secondary classes. Computer education is compulsory up to Class X.
Parent-Teacher Meetings are held after every unit test. Parents may also meet teachers on Saturdays between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. At the end of each term a PTM discusses each student’s result and progress — attendance is a must for all parents.
